If you have been alive over the past decade, you will know just how much freedom most people were willing to give up for a little perceived safety. While the times have been scary, we are also very lucky to live in a world where we have so many options that were never available in the past.
My name is Nathan, and since 2007 my wife and son and I have lived in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand (twice), Malaysia (twice) not for any other reason than to be free from any one country’s economy or politics.
We aren’t conspiracy theorists, we don’t hate or love any particular country (all have positives and negatives), but we also aren’t held captive by specific Governments or even financial systems.
When three of our Australian banks recently froze our accounts just because we wanted to buy some Bitcoin, we realised just how bad things have become, but it has also forced us to learn more about alternative possibilites like Crypto that can give us even more freedom than we had before.
Over the years we have helped many others find some freedom by building online businesses, but the world has changed in a way where we think that building your own online income is not only critical, but is also only the first step.
We call ourselves “Free Range People“, and want to help others create their own freedom.
The Journey
If you’ve come this far and are still with me, then it’s safe to say you’ve been thinking about this seriously. But for some people, there are some massive roadblocks. Some roadblocks include:
- You don’t have an online income;
- You have a baby;
- You have school aged children;
- You’re scared about moving away from your extended family;
- You’re nervous about what life might be like in another Country;
- And many more.
We’ve been through all of this, and I’m not here to tell you it’s all easy or straightforward, particularly when everyones’ situation is different. But it is rare to find a situation where you can’t overcome most barriers. And many of the obstacles blocking you aren’t as hard to overcome than you might think.
No Lies
We’ve moved overseas as a couple, as a couple with a 12 month old, and as a couple with a school aged child, and there are definitely degrees of difficulty in this progression.
We aren’t here to promise you “easy”, but we can promise you “worth it”. Children shouldn’t be a block to you trying to gain freedom, they should be your reason. And the memories they will have from their childhood won’t just be incredible because of the different cultures they will experience, but they will also be shaped by your courage to make it happen.
And if you don’t have kids? Oh man, buy a plane ticket tomorrow!
